Tonight Ollie and I got to spend a little time alone together. When I was putting him to bed he asked if I would "snuggle us" he quickly caught himself and then said "me." But it was so sweet. He missed Calvin all night long. But we made cookies and he tried to boss me around and tell me how many cookies he could eat. We watched Michael Jackson dance videos and he told me all about them and which ones I did not know and had never seen. I don't know how he is already a teenager but he is. He already takes the iPod from me to fix something I am not doing fast enough. He tells me daily things that I "should have done" bring his blanket, pack a different lunch, etc, etc. Sometimes I just watch him and wonder how he grew up so fast. And I love trying to figure out what it going on in his little head. The other night we were coming home from a trip and so we were grabbing food and having the happy meal debate and he was just like. "I don't even want a toy, I already have one." He asks when he can be on stage. Says he is sorry if he forgets to bring CDs to play in the car. His tastes are so varied but one constant is his adoration of Calvin. Now if I could just get him to warm up to Eliza........
