Sports have never been Oliver's thing. Even as a baby, most babies will at least like to play or throw balls, but he really never did. Scott always tries to encourage him, but he is good about not pushing it. Last week, Oliver told Scott that "Soccer is boring. Because you can't use your hands. I like football."(but he might be talking about basketball bc he still mixes his balls up) Which really is improvement for Oliver. He used to go pick flowers while Scott and Clavin played catch. But it made me think of a funny story that I want to be able to tell when Oliver is old.
One night, we stayed after Scott's soccer game and played as a family. Biza on Scott's shoulders. It worked for a while until Oliver wandered off and found a dirt mound that he quickly turned into a stage. He also decided to use the dirt as his "coin" to throw in his smooth criminal dance. So well the rest of us kicked the ball around Ollie danced and threw dirt and practiced his lean. It was awesome.

Joy! thanks for popping in my blog and leaving a note! It's so fun to hear from you. I love it how even in a short typed message, I can still sense your calm happy state.
I hate to tell you this, but Olivia just decided she liked cleaning the bathroom all on her own. I think it is because she loves making bubbles with the cleaning supplies and she gets to wear latex gloves. Crazy! She begs me to clean the bathroom sometimes, even when it is already clean. Now I just need a child who loves doing the dishes. Well, that's Caden, but I need one who will actually get them done. :)
I am doing great. Parley is coming back to us (I'm in Rexburg, ID) in one week and then we are all going to drive to Florida together. We'll be living in Pensacola for three years and Parley will be a flight instructor so no deployments! Yay! I am looking forward to getting all of our old stuff back from long term storage and from Oki, since I haven't even seen that stuff for six months! It will be like Christmas!
I hope you guys are doing well. I love your blog! It sure is fun to have boys. ;)
J loves to pick flowers more than anything else outside as well. Such sensitive boys we have! So, I got the bananapillar from a cookbook called Cooking for Kids in the Favorite Brand Name Fix it Quick series. Many of the recipes are glorified desserts, but there are some good visuals. My other (and much healthier) kid cookbook is Healthy Meals for Babies and Toddlers, which doesn't have as much fun-looking food but the flavors are great. J also likes looking through cookbooks, so if he sees a picture of something and then we make it together, he is much more likely to eat it later, so I use this book to entice him into trying new things. Some times it actually works!
