Homeless No MORE

I am scared to type this bc I just keep thinking this is too good to be true. But Scott called and said he has the keys. I LOVE our new house. It is on the Presidio Base in Monterey. The boys and I drove up to take a peak yesterday and scared away six deers in the park that is right out our front door. And depending if you have a gorgeous tree in your way, you can see the ocean from the whole neighborhood. The homes are 120 years old, with new renovations. Right up my alley.

Scott will have about a five minute commute the first year to the Naval Postgraduate School. And then the last year and half the Defense Language Institute is just a short walk.

There are only 40 homes on the base and they don't offer them unless you ask the right questions. Glad I ask a lot of questions!! I love it when Heavenly Father answers prayers so fast!!

We can't wait to come see it!! Post more pics when you can. Do you have your van yet? When do you get to move in?

You two were in my dream last night. Strange dream but it was nice to see you both!

That's so awesome!! My sister in law and her husband are there for a few more months - Cat and Mark Morris, hopefully you'll meet them! She's super nice. We are thinking of NPS when Nick is done here. I'll have to find out what the right questions are so that if we do, I can get a sweet house on base too! SO happy for you guys!

Wow! Looks great and even if it didn't, with no commute for Scott it is totally worth it.
Do you guys have cars yet?

I'm just catching up on your blog a bit here. First of all, can I say that I cherish accommodations in which one of my children can sleep in a closet?! We're going to Disney World in March and I'm praying for a walk-in closet!!! (And your idea about putting a sleeping baby in the bathtub is nothing short of genius.) Secondly, you, my dear, have earned that house. Take more pictures! Hope you guys are settling in and enjoying life stateside again: wander aimlessly through Target, flip through 400 television channels, and drive everywhere in your new minivan. xoxo

I am so jealous of the no commute! It takes Zach an hour or more, one way. Looks great!
