Nobody likes to read long blogs...I know you all really only care about the pictures, so here goes.
Calvin turned 4! I know it was a month ago, but back off. We celebrated with him and some of his friends with a Lego party. He got lots of cool gifts from friends and family and is already looking forward to next year.
Joy made a cool pinata that looked like a Lego. She even put some Lego pieces inside as a surprise. The kids cared more about the candy and left all the little Lego pieces sitting on the ground.
Oliver started to get a little annoyed when Calvin was getting all of the presents. This is him showing his mean mug face the night we were opening presents.
Halloween came and went. I was back in the states at a conference and missed seeing the boys get dressed up and trick or treat. I bought a Macbook for a week to use the webcam so I could see them (I then took it back to the store when I got home, love the 15 day return policy). Oliver was Robin. Hey, he is supposed to be a little nerdy, right?
Calvin, of course, was Batman. If you see our last post, you will learn that he looked a lot tougher and meaner than he actually was/is.
They make a pretty cute team, though.
Joy and I had the annual Marine Corps Ball as well. It was a lot of fun. I even convinced my lovely 28-week pregnant wife to get on the dance floor with me to do the Soulja Boy (yes Melissa, two years in a row). We stayed out much later than she was used to, but it was well worth the time to enjoy each other's company.
Finally, inexplicably Calvin and Oliver decided to stay still for pictures the other day before church. We took advantage and snapped a few pictures.
Even though work can get pretty busy and make me apprehensive about bringing a little girl into the world, these three sure make you forget about all that.
